Lamb of God Paintings

by Level 2
Students learned about Jesus as the Lamb of God and about His sacrifice during Lent. In response they created paintings that incorporated textural effects in the grassy meadows and fluffy sheep. These paintings had to be worked in layers with one layer of paint drying before the second layer could be painted on and scratched through to create grass. The fluffy sheep were created using paint dipped cotton balls instead of brushes.

Materials:
Oak Tag Paper
Tempera Paints
Brushes
Cotton Balls
Plastic Forks
Water Containers
Paper towels
Wiggle Eyes
Hot Glue/Gun
