Student Puppeteers!

Students in my Puppetry class collaborated with each other to develop a narrative with a moral, design and create backdrops, sculpt, costume and operate rod puppets and finally put on a short skit! Their story was about Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato on the set of "Camp Rock". The two stars took a boat ride together and got sucked into a whirlpool that deposited them in a fantasy land of giants, fairies, trolls and talking frogs. The giants hated humans because of bad things they'd heard, but some of the other villagers gave Demi and Joe the benefit of the doubt. Eventually Demi and Joe proved that not all humans are bad and the giants changed their minds. The moral: Do not pre-judge others based on what you've heard, but rather form your own opinions.

Cut & Fold Paper Art!

In one of my mini-courses students used construction paper and glue to make lots of different art creations!

Paper Mache Bowls, Etc.

Students in the same paper art class also worked with paper mache to form bowls, balloon forms and even a mask!

Toilet Paper Food!

At camp my students in the I He(art) Paper class made food sculptures using toilet paper and paint (no adhesives)! Here are some of the best examples!

And More Mosaics!

Art At Tower Student Work in Mosaics!

This summer, as I've already posted, I taught several mosaics classes at summer camp -- Marvelous Mosaics, Mosaics 3D and Mini Mosaics. Here are some photos from those classes! Anyone interested in learning mosaics should consider signing up for classes with my good friend Dennis Bryant, who owns Tessera Tile & Stone in Gloucester. If you want lessons in your home, just let me know and I'd be happy to teach you!
