Here is the description from the wall label:
Jesus tells his followers to “Be Light and Salt.” In this project students thought about what this might mean to them. They also learned about different Christian symbols that have been used in art to represent this message. Then, they created their own luminous designs on clear acetate, which were later turned into beautiful votives.

Love it! I think the students would really enjoy doing this project! I wonder how many of them will take it home and put a real candle in it. Any bets?
ReplyDeleteThis was a really great project. I actually included a "no real candles" warning when they were sent home and the students kept the battery operated candles, too. I was afraid that some of the students or parents would try to use real candles.
